Recycling specialists Smurfit Kappa are to host a stand at this year’s Recycling and Waste Management trade show at the Birmingham NEC in September, where they will be promoting their services and offering free waste audits to businesses and local authorities.

Smurfit Kappa Recycling are a UK company with paper mills in Kent and Birmingham. They have the capacity to process over half a million tonnes of recovered paper each year, and provide a stable market for companies looking to get rid of waste paper and cardboard boxes in an environmentally friendly manner.

With a national network of depositing facilities, Smurfit Kappa are one of the largest paper and cardboard recycling companies in the country, and are the first multi-site packaging organisation to achieve the Carbon Trust Standard.

Simon Weston, managing director of Smurfit Kappa, stated: “Waste cardboard and paper producers in both the public and private sectors are looking for robust environmental credentials and a flexible approach to protect themselves from the volatility of the markets.

“Visitors to our stand at RWM will discover how we can tick all of these boxes and work with them to develop truly sustainable recycling solutions.”
