Pregis Protective Packaging, manufacturer of Jiffy bags, has appointed a new managing director for its European wing.

The role will be taken by Edwin de Wolf, a Belgian national who has extensive experience in the packaging industry. Having spent 22 years with GE Plastics and GE Security, where he rose to the position of managing director, he will now take the helm of Pregis in Europe, where his fluency in Dutch, English and German will serve him well.

Having worked to develop various aspects of GE’s performance including sales, supply chain logistics and management, Mr de Wolf has a substantial skill set which makes him ideally qualified to lead Pregis’ continued expansion in the European arena.

With new products to introduce to the market, region-specific strategies to deliver and Pregis’ ongoing efforts to improve their customer service, Mr de Wolf looks set to lead the company into an interesting new period.

Kevin Baudhuin, the global president of Pregis Protective Packaging, stated: “We are delighted to welcome Edwin to Pregis. He brings with him the in-depth expertise and experience that will enable us to take the business to the next level of success and growth, further developing our position as the partner of choice for all protective packaging solutions.”
