Pro Carton makes big impact at packaging show
Pro Carton, the European association for carton and cartonboard manufacturers, has made quite a splash at this year’s Interpack exhibition.
Interpack is one of the world’s leading trade shows for the packaging industry, and this year’s event attracted 2,700 exhibitors from 60 different countries, and was attended by 166,000 visitors.
The focal point of Pro Carton’s stand was a display which featured the winning designs from the 2010 Pro Carton/ECMA Annual Carton Award competition. As well as showcasing the very best in packaging design and giving visitors the chance to learn more about the designs, the display also drew attention to the 2011 competition, the closing date for which is the 10th of June.
Attendees to the stand could also pick up a copy of the latest edition of Pro Carton Magazine, which proved immensely popular with visitors. The magazine details all the latest news and views from the carton and cartonboard industry, keeping readers informed of what’s going on in this busy and constantly developing sector.
Also in high demand were Pro Carton’s information packs on environmental issues in the packaging business, with students in particular being keen to learn more about this subject.
All in all, the show was a great success for Pro Carton, building on their already high-profile standing in the industry and helping to establish new contacts and networking opportunities for packaging professionals.
