FoodBizSupply offers eco-friendly alternative to white cotton gloves
FoodBizSupply, an American supplier of packaging and handling goods for the food service industry, now offers an environmentally-friendly alternative to white cotton gloves for use in food preparation and packaging applications.
The gloves themselves were developed in conjunction with FoodHandler. They are manufactured from a special resin that biodegrades over time, which means they won’t end up languishing in a landfill after their useful life has ended.
Sold under the brand ConServe, the gloves are fully compliant with US food safety regulations, come in three different sizes and are clearly marked as compostable with eco-friendly ink to ensure that they are not simply thrown away by accident after use.
ConServe gloves can be purchased in packs of 400, with discounts available for bulk purchases. The new gloves are a welcome addition to FoodBizSupply’s existing range of over 400 eco-friendly items for the food industry.
Rosetta Mitchell, FoodBizSupply’s chief executive officer, stated: “The food service industry is slowly, yet increasingly becoming more eco-conscious and ConServe gloves is a clear, responsible choice for companies that want to reduce waste, avoid landfills and lessen their carbon footprint.
“Implementing the use of ConServe gloves in any establishment is an easy yet significant step toward going green.”
